Friday night was the annual FIS Talent Show. I worked with two other teachers to coordinate a range of acts from 3rd through 10th graders. A student recorded some of my favorite acts and posted them on youtube. First is a pop song sung and energetically danced to by a 5th grade student:The reason why the student with the camera kept turning around to film the darkness behind her was because the 10th graders on the light crew were all doing the dance moves, too. It cracked me up, so you'll just have to imagine them dancing in the darkness.
One of our 10th graders is going back to Korea next year, so he wrote this beautiful song reflecting on his three years at our school: Everyone was crying after that song, so it was nice to end on a more upbeat note, thanks to three more of my 10th grade students:
